| Message from the SPAACSE President |
Space…for a better Earth.
That's our motto.
Our mission is to make this the motto of the public. The Society of Performers, Artists, Athletes, and Celebrities, for Space Exploration, Inc. SPAACSE was formed for the purposes of educating the general public about space exploration and its benefits to society, and to foster space education projects among the scientific, artistic, athletic and celebrity communities. Our approach is one which has a new slant.
In the glittering world of Celebrity, including corporate, there are many high profile people who are pro-space. SPAACSE will use this "Star Power" to get the attention of the public, and to exploit the beauty of space itself though the varied works of artists from every avenue of creativity.
In the following prospectus, you will read about the public service announcements we will be producing about spinoffs. SPAACSE will use famous people on camera, to inform the audience of how technology produced for space flight, has become something we use in everyday life. Or to save lives. Early breast cancer detection is a space program spinoff. This is just one example of over 30,000. What athlete hasn't undergone an MRI or CAT scan? That the majority of the public is unaware of the fact that these everyday things are some of the benefits we've reaped from space exploration, is something we intend to correct.
Our "Rising Star" program, geared toward children, will offer astronaut and celebrity visits to schools. We will foster interest and creativity through contests and scholarships. Children are the most important people we have, as they are the leaders of the future.
The interest in space has been rekindled by the recent findings of water on the Lunar polar caps, and the incredible excitement generated by the possibility that there was once life on Mars. The overwhelming number of hits on the Jet Propulsion Lab web sites, millions per day, proves the interest is very much there. The next step is to keep that ball rolling, to continue to excite and educate, so that we, as adventurers and a spacefaring nation, can take those captured imaginations and give them something to strive for, role models to look up to.
Be it tourism, privatization, commercialization, the continuing scientific marvels, space is for everyone. It's not just about launches, it's about the future. Historically, every dollar invested in the space program has brought seven back into the economy, by NASA and industry. We will tap untapped mediums, outside of the aerospace world, to raise funds so that we can make learning fun.
Finally, with the events we are planning, we hope to unite several pro-space organizations, with the greater picture in mind, to get the public excited! When we, the people, are interested enough, our leaders sit up and listen.
Let's get moving! Our future awaits us. Join us and let the adventure to the stars continue.
